Today's Theme... New Coaching Tools for the Upcoming Season

Getting ready for a new season can be overwhelming.  Finding the right drills, organizing practices, and locating your favorite plays can take more time than coaching itself.  To make that easier, Coach's Clipboard now includes several powerful coaching tools designed to help you plan faster, stay organized, and spend more time teaching your players.  Here's what's new this season:

AI Chat Assistant

On any webpage, click the chat button:

Use the new AI chat feature to answer any question about coaching, the website, etc.  Examples:  "how should we attack the 1-3-1 zone defense", or "how should we defend a star player".  Give it a try by asking one of your own coaching questions.

Practice Planner Tool

Use this with the drills selector tool below.  This page lists your favorite, saved drills.  You can also add you own custom drill(s).  Below this list is the Practice Planner tool.  The column on the left lists all available drills or just your saved drills.  You can click "New practice" and add your team name, coach, date and your own notes. Drag and drop drills from the left column into your new practice list on the right and save it when finished. You can print the list and take it to your next practice.  You can share the practice with other devices and coaches.

You can also transfer the practice plan into the mobile Practice Viewer, so you can use it in your mobile device in the gym.

Drills Selector Tool

Quickly find the drills you need by filtering by category (e.g. offense, defense, fundamentals, etc), age group, number of players, and more. Save your favorites for use in the Practice Planner above. 

Plays Selector Tool

Quickly find the right play by filtering plays based on offense type, alignment, objective, and age group.

Sort plays based on:

1. Offense type (m2m, zone, BLOB, etc)
2. Alignment (3-out, 4-out, 5-out, 1-4, etc)
3. Objective (layup, 3-pointer, post feed, etc)
4. Age group

In the right column, you can select and save your favorites, so you can quickly access them in the future.  You can add and remove plays from your list at any time .

Create your own online Playbook (members only)

Premium Members can create their own personal playbook.  Add your team name, coach, favorite plays, offenses, defenses, drills, presses, etc to your playbook.  Save it, print it, and share it with other coaches. 

Take a few minutes before your season begins to explore these new coaching tools. You may discover faster ways to plan practices, organize your favorite plays, and prepare your team for success.
